Gail Henderson and Jim Evans were invited this spring to lend their expertise on the theme of Genetics, Ethics, and Human Health for the Spring 2008 “What’s the Big Idea?” lecture series at the Friday Center. The program offers an opportunity for the community to engage in discussion with UNC scholars, researchers, and clinicians. The series begins with an overview of stem cell research and genetic engineering. Jim will speak about Genetic Research and its Medical Applications on April 17 and the program concludes on April 24 with Gail Henderson leading a discussion of issues relating to public policy and ethics.
