CCGS faculty members Wei Wang (Computer Science) and Chuck Perou (Genetics) are among four recipients of this year’s Phillip and Ruth Hettleman Prize for Artistic and Scholarly Achievement by Young Faculty.  The two other recipients are Heather Williams (History) and Thomas Hofweber (Philosophy).  The Hettleman Prize was established in 1986 by the late Phillip Hettleman, UNC alumnus and New York investment banker, to recognize the achievements of outstanding tenure-track or recently tenured faculty.  Chancellor Moeser will formally present this year’s awards at the Faculty Council Meeting on September 14 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hitchcock Multipurpose Room of the Sonja Haynes Stone Center.
