The Community Genetics Forum 2006 strives to engage the community in issues surrounding advancements in genetic research. Over the course of 2006, a series of events will take place in the Triangle area, including open ended community conversations, a film and discussion series and targeted educational outreach. Each event will explore community thoughts on social, ethical and legal implications of the human genome project. Two featured events are conferences in September. Most of our events, unless otherwise noted, are open to the public and cater to all audiences, regardless of prior knowledge. The programs do not require registration, however, we do have limited seats and therefore encourage registration. The goal of the project is to learn and address your concerns- so come share your opinions and ideas while contributing to national conversation about genome science!

We hope to see you for one or all of our community events. To learn more about the project and upcoming events, please explore our website and contact us with any questions.
